MEAT-TECH PRESS RELEASE N. 7 - MEAT-TECH 2018: news from across the industry

September 15, 2017

The show covers an increasingly wide range of exhibits from across the entire industry, including solutions for packaging and preservation of fresh products. New theme sections and visitor services will facilitate networking between international players

MEAT-TECH, the most important exhibition for the international meat industry in 2018, covers an increasingly wide array of industry offerings. Encouraged by the new exhibition project and the joint scheduling with IPACK-IMA (both shows will be held from 29 May to 1 June 2018), leading companies from across the entire supply chain are booking space at the show. These include not only suppliers of processing machinery and technologies but also companies that produce ingredients, materials and equipment.

MEAT-TECH 2018 is also strengthening its position as the key exhibition for companies that supply solutions for packaging and fresh food conservation, one of the most dynamic segments of the food industry.

The exhibition will also host two new special areas. The first, MEAT+ Cold Chain Solution will house technologies for the cold chain, essential the world over for preserving produce before, during and after processing. The second, MEAT&More, will focus on equipment and materials for production, cutting and packaging of meat-based products, which are increasingly used by industry as well as by large retail chains, shopkeepers and restaurants. These types of equipment and products guarantee excellent quality in preparing produce and increase their shelf life and compliance with health standards.

MEAT-TECH 2018 will also benefit from an extensive promotional campaign that aims to boost networking between exhibitors and visitors. One of the most innovative tools is the highly effective “My Matching” online platform for organising targeted one2one meetings between supply and demand, which makes participation in the show even more fruitful.

Organised by IPACK-IMA, the exhibition MEAT-TECH benefits from the strategic experience of Fiera Milano  and the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers' Association UCIMA. Its strategies are chosen by a dedicated Steering Committee that includes representatives of the following major producers of processing and packaging technologies, ingredients, equipment, materials for the meat industry, trade associations and producers of cold cuts and fresh meat: ABM COMPANY, ANIMA ASSOFOODTEC, ASSICA, COLIGROUP, COLUSSI ERMES, EUROPRODOTTI, FRATELLI PAGANI, FRUTAROM, GB BERNUCCI, GHERRI MEAT TECHNOLOGY, HANDTMANN ITALIA, INOX MECCANICA, LEVONI, M.A.V. ENGINEERING, MINERVA OMEGA GROUP, NIEDERWIESER, PULSAR INDUSTRY, RISCO, ROVAGNATI, TECHPARTNER, TRAVAGLINI, ULMA PACKAGING, VELATI, VERIPACK.

MEAT-TECH also enjoys the support of the leading trade associations, including: ASSICA (Association of Industrial Meat and Cold Cut Producers) and ANIMA-ASSOFOODTEC (Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery, Plant and Equipment for Food Production, Processing and Preservation)  together with its various affiliated associations: COMACA, Italian Manufacturers of Machinery for Meat Processing; Manufacturers of Slicing Machines, Meat Grinders and Similar products; Association of Refrigeration Plant Manufacturers.
