Entries for the Best Packaging 2025 competition, organised by the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio in collaboration with Ipack Ima and with the support of stakeholders Conai, Fondazione Carta Etica del Packaging and Politecnico di Milano, will remain open until December, 13th 2024. 

This is a historical competition - the first edition dates back to 1957 - that focuses on the most significant trends in the sector that guide the research and development of companies, and that each year promotes, enhances and rewards innovation in packaging design, evolving from year to year to follow the trends in the sector. 

The central theme of the 2025 edition will be technical and technological innovation, and the winners' awards event will be held on May 28 during IPACK IMA, which will take place in Milan from 27 to 30 May 2025.

The competition not only recognises the innovative value in packaging design, but also strives to promote sustainability through special prizes for the environment and design, which will be awarded by the Jury to the competing companies.  As Francesco Legrenzi, director of the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio, observes, ‘Monitoring innovation also in the technological sphere represents a further step for the Best Packaging contest to publicly recognise the innovative value of the packaging supply chain’.
