Imas: Innovations and trends in the world of milling & grain
Imas is moving rapidly through its vision to be one of the leading global brands in grain and feed milling technologies, with the experience of over 30 years in the industry. The company produces a whole range of flour, maize, and feed milling machinery, and builds turnkey mills worldwide with more than 500 project references in 5 continents and over 100 countries.
Muhammed Uzun, Sales & Marketing Director talked about the company and its participation in IPACK-IMA 2025.
What are the prospects leading up to IPACK-IMA 2025 and what does this participation represent for you?
“It is always pleasure for us to join each IPACK IMA event, as one of the largest global shows for food technology and packaging industries “, declared Muhammed Uzun. “We expect that IPACK IMA 2025 will be not only a place to meet valuable visitors worldwide but also a major showcase for the latest industry trends and technologies, where professionals learn from and inspire each other.”
What technological solutions and innovations are you currently working on?
“At Imas, we believe that the reliability of our machines is as important as their technology” continued the marketing manager. “For this reason, we keep developing the structural design of our machines through the application of new engineering standards. One of our latest engineering innovations, Polymer Base Construction® is a new chassis design developed for roller mill machines. The first-ever use of polymeric composites in the milling industry, Polymer Base Construction® provides greater reliability and long-term durability than the traditional welded steel or cast-iron chassis, with better vibration damping abilities.
Sustainability and digitalization: what contribution can your technologies make?
“First of all, our machines and systems are already digital friendly” Uzun went on. “This means they have features such as remote connection, detailed reporting, etc. However, going one step further, at Imas R&D center, we are working on new digital innovations that we expect to introduce to some of our new machines soon, to develop more efficient and sustainable solutions. And not only for our products, because we also invest in sustainability at our machinery manufacturing plant. We meet 100% of our electricity requirements from green energy systems that promote the sustainability of our environment.”
What direction is the market moving in?
“Our industry’s trends are moving towards more efficient, consistent, and productive systems, and more profit!” ended Muhammed Uzun. “In this global competition environment, we believe that our customer’s success also lies in their willingness to adapt to digital technologies. “
